Maui's pristine shores or the serene sands of Cocoa Beach are pure paradise for beach lovers. If diverse landscapes are what you crave, prepare to be awestruck by Yellowstone's geysers or Zion's towering cliffs. The country also boasts a rich cultural tapestry. Wine aficionados? You'll feel right at home in Napa Valley's sun-drenched vineyards. 

And if you have an artistic soul, imagine yourself dancing among the crowd at a New Orleans festival. Well, that’s a lot of spoilers until now. So, here are the best destinations in the US to visit in 2025. We can’t wait to see you out there.

1. Glacier National Park, Montana

Half of 3 million annual visitors come to Glacier National Park for hiking trails as well as wildlife sightings (bears,  bald eagles, and bighorn sheep are abundant there). The other half, obviously, comes for the Going-to-the-Sun Road, which showcases both engineering feats and the natural beauty at every turn.

On this scenic drive, you’ll get to know almost every type of landscape of the park: glacial lakes, cascading waterfalls, high alpine peaks, etc. However, before you plan for these mountain vistas, be sure to get a park pass and vehicle reservation for some gates.

2. The Everglades, Florida

More than just a US national park, the Everglades is a World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve. Across the 1.5 million acres, water is the star and you can only see the best of the parks mostly by boat. 

Whether you choose to kayak through coastal estuaries, jump on an airboat ride or camp among mangroves, you can instantly feel the raw beauty of subtropical wilderness. Keep an eye on both crocodiles and alligators; you can see them lounging by the side of the road somewhere.

The first US national park spans over 3 states: Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. You’ll need to plan a multiple-day trip to explore its 3,472 square miles of vast landscape and abundant wildlife.

In spring, visitors can get up close to wolves and grizzly bears, especially in Lamar Valley. In the heart of the breeding season, between July and August, you can see a sea of bison roaming in Hayden Valley.

Yet, what draws the largest crowd is the famous Old Faithful, a cone geyser, that regularly sends water soaring over 100 feet. And don’t forget to watch the rings of thermophiles magically pop in the sun at Grand Prismatic Spring.

Hit the slopes when you’re in Aspen during winter, as there’s nothing more mind-blowing than those face-shot powders and lengthy downruns.

You can also enjoy the downhill thrill of mountain biking, as this town has 25 miles of downhill trails spanning 3,000 vertical feet. The Food & Wine Classic in Aspen is also held every summer if you’re an avid foodie.

Aspen is not only a romantic winter getaway for adults; the town welcomes kiddos with Aspen Art Museum, the Buttermilk (skiing uphill), and incredible pancakes at Bonnie after they’ve worked up their appetite.

If you're after a big adrenaline dose, the desert's spires and arches of Moab will be the ultimate playground. Mountain biking, for example, is hugely popular on Slickrock Trail, with smooth, rolling terrains for the novice, to big drops and challenging angles only for the pros.

Belong to the second league? Check out the 9.6-mile loop Slickrock, which is commonly described as a “lunar ride”. Rock arches are everywhere, but Delicate Arch and Fiery Furnace are where you can see the best Moab has to offer. Stay at the glamping resort ULUM Moab, where you can sleep among the 200 acres of desert with dramatic landscapes and desert views.

Chicago has constantly voted among the most favourite city breaks of Americans, and there’s a big reason for it. You can do a little sightseeing, try the eclectic cuisine of the neighbourhood, and sample a bit of nightlife. The city’s architecture, from Art Deco to contemporary, set against the backdrop of Lake Michigan, is a pure joy for the eyes. 

Touristy yet worthwhile, a boat ride on the Chicago River will get you up close to the Windy City’s best landmarks from the water. Step in like a local and catch a baseball game at Wrigley Field, and try the deep-dish pizza that everyone’s talking about. The best time to visit Windy City is summer, when the city is alive with food, music, and festivals.

This island was once home to Ernest Hemingway and President Harry S. Truman. The Nobel Prize winner has still left his marks there, as you can do a tour of the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum and meet one of the famous six-toed cats. 

Key West, however, above anything else, is famed for the sand and sea. You can check out the public beach Smather for lounging, but if you’re after the best snorkelling experience, Fort Zachary Taylor State Park is the place. Or book a tour with Key West Boat Trips, to explore the sandbars or enjoy golden hours of Key West right on the water.

It's a universal association: San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and cable cars. But, it’s stunning to know that the city of only 7 square miles can deliver so much more than just these iconic landmarks. 

Only Golden Gate Park alone can take you a day to fully explore, with must-visit spots like the Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden. Then, you’ll fall in love with the hilly neighbourhoods of Victorian houses at Hayes Valley or those red lanterns of North America's oldest Chinatown. And don’t forget to taste SF’s quintessential dish: burritos, whether it’s at La Taqueria or El Faro.

9. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Dubbed as one of the “seven natural wonders of the world”, the Grand Canyon is 278 miles long, 10 miles wide, and over a mile deep. The scene is absolutely breathtaking as you trek from rim to river.

The national park is divided into two sections with different dynamics. The South Rim, which attracts 4 times more visitors than the North Rim, is where the crowd and all the amenities are. 

If you’re interested in backwoods camping and hardcore hiking, however, the less-crowded North Rim will be a better choice. This side of the park has quieter trail networks with sweeping canyon views and stunning rock formations. 

Forget about the village shuttle; jump into self-guided scenic drives, exploring some of the best natural sights like the Point Imperial, the park's summit (8803ft) and Painted Desert views.

The Big Easy never stops celebrating, with a festival for every season. If it’s your first visit to New Orleans, don’t miss the city’s epic celebration - the Mardi Gras. The festival is the wildest party in the world, with colourful parades, fabulous costumes, and music everywhere. You’ll be busy dancing and catching doubloons, beads, and other trinkets from the floats. 

If you’re coming for early parades this year, you’re joining with tens of thousands of people coming for Super Bowl LIX 2025 and Pride events. There’ll be a ton of fun, but book your rooms far ahead before they're all sold out. 

Another exciting time to be in the city, especially for jazz lovers, is during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. If you’re after a less rowdy vacation, plan your trip in the fall. You can still explore all the best of NOLA: jazz scene, Cajun and Creole food, and French Quarter architecture, minus the large crowd and buzz.

Acadia National Park is among the first places to see the sunrise in the US. If you're on Cadillac Mountain between October and March, make sure to arrive at the summit before dawn to catch the first U.S. sunrise before anyone else. 

The best time to visit the park is during October when the temperature slowly drops, and the crowd is smaller than in Spring. This is when the 47,000-acre Atlantic coast dressed in its autumn splendour, with all shades of yellow, red, and orange. 

Leaf-peeping opportunities are ample, whether you choose to conquer the tricky Beehive Trail or the beginner-friendly Jordan Pond Path. Either will reward hikers with stunning fall foliage views. 

12. Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee

You may have already experienced the beauty of the Cherokee National Forest while visiting eastern Tennessee, without even realizing it. This is the largest tract of public land in Tennessee, covering 650,000 acres of forest. It is home to many popular recreation areas, especially for outdoor adventure. 

White water rafting is the most popular activity in Cherokee National Forest. With over 20 continuous Class III and IV Rapids, there’s no better spot in the US for you to take the plunge.

You can also conquer the Appalachian Trail, one of the oldest long-distance trails in the States. Or simply, enjoy peaceful nights by Watauga Lake after pitching a tent. 

13. Highlands, North Carolina

Sitting at an elevation of 4,118 feet, this quaint village strikes a perfect balance. At one moment, you can unplug with hiking, horseback riding, and fly-fishing. Postcard views are everywhere you turn and there’s always a warm, come-as-you-are atmosphere present in town.

On the other hand, you can still enjoy all the cosmopolitan edges: five-star spas, charming inns, and restaurants with white tablecloths. In 2025, Highlands is going to celebrate a monumental milestone - its 150th-year anniversary. There are history tours running from May through October, which showcase the town's cultural heritage for this occasion. 

With an impressive food and wine scene, the town also hosts Highlands Food & Wine Festival. There are also seven waterfalls that are worth an entire day of exploring. Dry Falls is among the most popular, where you can get up close, and even walk behind it without getting wet.

14. Puerto Rico

Whether you’re looking for a dream Caribbean vacation or an impressive history tour, Puerto Rico should be your next destination. The island has over 300 beaches, many of which boast stunning stretches of fine white sand for all-day lounging.

There are also many popular surf towns, with waves that suit kooks to professionals. The Crash Boat Beach offers tame rolls for beginners, while Rincón is known for those 20-foot-tall swells exclusively for the pros.

Puerto Rico is also a place where the old and new coexist. You can see the remnants of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, dating back to 1539, standing alongside the more modern San Juan.

15. Washington, DC

The nation's capital is both educational and fun, which will be a perfect place for family vacations. The city has tons of monuments and memorials (up to 17 Smithsonian museums) to fill your week-long trip.

Besides all the exhibitions that may make you feel a bit of history overload, there are also super cool neighbourhoods, vibrant nightlife, and Michelin-rated dining. 

Neighbourhoods like U Street and Adams Morgan have become hubs for restaurants and bars. Meanwhile, Georgetown is stunning with ancient architecture that dates back to 1751. Between March and April, cherry blossoms also put on a stunning show. You might find yourself in the crowd at Tidal Basin to snag the best spot for cherry blossom views. 

16. Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is where you can enjoy a little bit of everything in a day. Picture this: you're caving down a snowy mountain in the morning, dipping your toes in the crystal clear water later at noon, and hitting up incredible restaurants and parties at night. 

But there’s more than that to spend your time at North America’s largest freshwater lake. With 72 miles of marked and mapped water routes, it will be disturbing to skip SUP or kayaking along the glassy surface. If you prefer something by the water, let’s follow the Tahoe East Shore Trail - the paved bike trails that run parallel to the lake’s shores. 

Don't forget Tahoe's urban side. Hit the live casinos on the South Shore for some excitement, then browse the boutiques and restaurants lining the North Shore. Basically, you can gamble and get your retail therapy - all in one trip.

17. New York City, New York

Everyone talks about “energy” when mentioning NY. And it’s true as you can feel it right away the moment you arrive. You gotta hit Central Park and the Empire State Building, but there’s so much more to do in a day in the Big Apple.

World-class shows? Check. You need to see at least one musical on Broadway. Into history and culture? Definitely. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection, and the Guggenheim are just a few prime spots you can check out.

And food? The city got every dish imaginable from every corner of the globe. Peter Luger Steak House, Katz’s Deli, Sylvia’s in Harlem - the list is endless without any chain restaurants. 

There are also some unique views you don’t want to miss. Follow the scenic trails of the High Line, to see the New York City skyline on Manhattan's West Side. Or head up to One World Observatory or Top of the Rock and take in the city from above. Are you bored of skyscrapers? Santa Fe will be your next interesting place to go. Set in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the old city is charming with Pueblo-style buildings, instead of the concrete jungle. 

Known as the top world’s art destination, Santa Fe is home to 250 galleries and studios that showcase its deep-rooted Native American heritage. The New Mexico Museum of Art stands as the oldest art museum in NM.

From mid-April through October, Santa Fe's outdoor weekend market is the place to find local art. Then in August, the Santa Fe Indian Market turns the whole downtown into a lively gallery. For more galleries happening year-round, visit Canyon Road or experience the 70 rooms of mind-bending art of Meow Wolf. 

19. Louisville, Kentucky

The famous horse race is mentioned without fail whenever anyone’s talking about Louisville. There’s nothing like watching those incredible horses race at Churchill Downs. That’s why they call it the most exciting two minutes in sports.

Not going for a race? Then, you can visit the Muhammad Ali Center and the famous bourbon family namesakes. Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is another must-do for baseball fans. The factory has been making those famous bats for ages. Remember to snap a selfie with the 120-foot-tall Louisville Slugger bat replica just outside the building.

20. Boise, Idaho

Partly rugged, and partly refined, Boise is our new favourite city to visit in US this 2025. For starters, Boise is a perfect outdoor playground with mountains, hundreds of trails, and best of all, 200 days of sunshine for your adventure.

They also call it a city you want to raise a glass with. Boise boasts a thriving city scene with tons of wineries (like, 20 just in Boise). Tap Rooms and breweries are also practically next to each other downtown. 2025 is going to be epic for Boise with Jaialdi, a festival that celebrates Basque culture and only takes place every five years. 

Outdoor lovers won’t travel far from the downtown for their next adventure, either. Boise River, passing through the city, is perfect for rafting and tubing. Last but not least, don’t skip the state’s iconic potatoes.

21. Denver

You’ve probably heard a little something about the city’s award-winning brews. Yes, with over 40 brewpubs and microbreweries downtown and 100 in the metro area, the city has a killing craft beer scene.

This perfectly goes hand in hand with the booming culinary scene in the city. Chefs like James Beard–nominated Ras Casiano and Alma Fonda Fina have brought a new air to the Mexican cuisine that has long been crucial to the city. 

Beyond its breweries, Denver offers a wealth of experiences. You can start your day with a morning bike ride along a leafy path, then spend the entire afternoon at a world-class museum (like the Clyfford Still). And cap off your night with a multi course-tasting menu, of course.

22. Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is an iconic US destination, and it draws up to 4 million annual visitors. The national park is where nature really shows off: you can admire the sheer volume of granite cliffs, and feel the misty sprays from the cascading waterfalls (there are thousands of them). 

Be sure to check out Yosemite Falls, which is the US’s largest waterfall. The crowd also heads to the Horsetail Fall in February, where it transforms into a firefall when the setting sun hits at the right angle. 

23. Zion National Park, Utah

Zion National Park is perhaps the most popular among the five national parks in Utah. People come here for the stunning terrains. Imagine hiking beneath those towering red cliffs (2,000-foot-tall) that make you feel breathless and so tiny among nature.

This park is also a paradise for hikers and backpackers, with up to 90 miles of scenic trails. Seasoned hikers can tackle the Angels Landing trail; its crazy switchbacks are absolutely a workout. Pa'rus or Lower Emerald Pools are chiller walks for families while along the iconic Narrows, the narrow part of Zion, you might be wading through water that can reach chest depth.

24. Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Just an hour-and-a-half drive from Washington DC, Shenandoah National Park is a perfect day trip for anyone who visits Capitol City (You may want to check out Cabinzero rucksacks and daypacks for your gear). 

Hike along Skyline Drive and see those famous Blue Ridge Mountains stretching out on either side. You can hike for days with the park's 500 miles of trail. There are laid-back paths like the Limberlost Trail and some more serious mountain climbs. 

Whatever you choose, you will find yourself sharing the land with the wildlife there. Lumbering black bears, foxes, and especially the rare Shenandoah salamander - they all call Zion Park home.

25. Sedona, Arizona

Thanks to its high elevation, Sedona is a hot spot in spring and summer, drawing those escaping the heat from Phoenix and Tucson. The state is rich in natural beauty, and that’s why all the activities here usually revolve around nature. 

You can hike the Cathedral Rock Trail to admire the famous red rock formations during the day, and then, stargaze the desert sky at night.  Wellness retreats are also having a moment in Sedona, with hotels and spas offering rejuvenating treatments that harness the healing properties of the land. 

Another way to experience Sedona’s healing powers is to hike to one of the four vortex sites. You’re likely to find a crowd of wellness seekers meditating or practising yoga there.

Note: Avoid hiking after 10am between June-August. The summer heat is dangerous, to the point of life-threatening.

26. Magnolia Springs, Alabama

Right where the Magnolia River starts, you'll find a little sweet village called Magnolia Springs, with a full-time population of just 1,000 people. In fact, it's named for the magnolia trees and the gushing springs that pop up along the river.

Since 1800, Magnolia Springs has been named as the prettiest town of Alabama several times. The town's centrepiece is Magnolia Springs Bed and Breakfast, where you can get a real immersion in Southern hospitality. After passing the canopy of the overhanging trees, you'll find this 1897 Victorian home with a wide front porch. We bet you'll be wondering if you'll ever want to leave.

27. Space Coast, Florida

Space Coast is the number 1 destination for space geeks. With NASA and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, as well as rocket launches in real-time that are visible from several spots, this Florida town can easily convert you into a space lover.

Space Coast also draws families with its pristine Cocoa Beach - the closest and most family-friendly beach to Walt Disney Walt.

You’re also in the surf capital of the East Coast, so if you wish to ride your very first waves, pick up your gear at Ron Jon Surf Shop, and start up a lesson with professional surfers at School of Surf. 

Space Coat is not all about salt life and rockets. You’ll find nice spots like The Fat Donkey or The Fat Snook right at the beach when you’ve worked up your appetite. Nearby is Cocoa Village, where quaint shops and galleries will let visitors get in touch with the local cultural scene.

How about a vacation that's all about bold cabernet, Michelin stars, and soaking up the sun? If your answer is yes, then Napa Valley is among the best places to visit in USA. With more than 400 vineyards and 90 tasting rooms open to the public, the region is basically Disneyland for wine lovers.

Napa also gets a lot of buzz when it comes to gourmet dining, with highly-rated options like Charter Oak, Kenzo, or La Toque. If you come with the other half, be sure to try the famous healing mud bath at Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs. 

29. Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville offers a cool breath of mountain air, with natural surroundings and flourishing art scene. Seriously, if you need a dose of fresh mountain air, you can drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (the USA's favourite drive) or drift along the French Broad River. 

Plan a day out if you're visiting the iconic Biltmore Estate. The private property spans up to 8,000 acres, with manicured gardens, a vineyard, and a lot to see inside and outside. There are lodging options available right at the estate if you want to stay a night or two. The town has the most breweries per person in the country, so there’s no better place to hop on a brewery tour.

If you love Hawaii but not the frenzy crowds, choose Maui over the always-busy Oahu and Honolulu (O’ahu is another choice if your budget is tight). We are always obsessed with the harmony of serenity and activities of Hawaii’s second-largest island. 

You can enjoy the hustle and bustle (of luxury resorts and beach bliss), and on the other side, secluded beaches and lush green forests. Spend a full day going on a scenic drive on the Road to Hana. The waterfalls and warm banana bread make the drive absolutely memorable.

The Haleakala sunrise is another true Maui experience. We know waking up at 1:30 AM is brutal, but the breathtaking sunrise from the volcanic crater's summit is absolutely worth it.

31. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

There are so many firsts that happened in Philly. Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and even the nation's first hospital. The city now balances its historical legacy with contemporary attractions. 

The Center City, easily navigable by foot, features well-preserved 18th and 19th-century architecture, James Beard Award-winning restaurants, and hip bars.

You can find 200 galleries of art spanning millennia at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or the world’s greatest French Impressionist collections at Barnes. And then there's the murals, which speak volumes about the artistic, wild and free soul of the city.

Antebellum architecture and the surrounding plantations make it feel like time stands still in Charleston. You can still see horse-drawn carriages filling cobbled streets at night, and come across well-preserved mansions in the Historic District.

Yet, the city celebrates its heritage while also catching up. Middle King showcases chic, stylish boutiques, while Upper King pulses with the city's best restaurants and nightlife.

For a city walk, begin at Waterfront Park and the iconic Pineapple Fountain. From there, a pleasant stroll along the waterfront will lead you to Rainbow Row, those incredibly Instagrammable Georgian-style row homes. Keep going and you'll hit the Battery, where you'll find pretty harbour views.
